Highest Percentage Award Criteria
- Platinum Schools must have made AYP for 3 consecutive years and have a minimum of 35% Exceeding Standards and at least 98% of Students Meeting and Exceeding Standards.
- Gold Schools must have made AYP for 2 consecutive years and have a minimum of 30% Exceeding Standards and at least 97% of Students Meeting and Exceeding Standards.
- Silver Schools must have made AYP for 2 consecutive years and have a minimum of 25% Exceeding Standards and at least 96% of Students Meeting and Exceeding Standards.
- Bronze Schools must not be in Needs Improvement status and have a minimum of 20% Exceeding Standards and at least 95% of Students Meeting and Exceeding Standards.

Georgia High School Graduation Tests Georgia law requires all students seeking to obtain a high school diploma to pass a set of tests in reading, writing, mathematics, social studies and science. Students first take the tests in their junior year.
Based on Spring, 2005 information, the following Cobb County high schools show over 90% of students passing all four subjects tested (English, Mathematics, Social Studies, Science):
Pope Walton Lassiter Harrison Scholastic Assessment Test (SAT) The SAT is administered by the College Board and is designed to measure verbal and quantitative reasoning skills, developed over many years of education, that are related to academic performance in college. SAT scores are intended primarily to help forecast the college academic performance of individual students. This information is based on 2005 SAT score results.
